This EC3metrics service is aimed at higher education institutions such as universities, both public and private, as well as organizations involved in research, development and innovation (R&D&I), including Public Research Organizations, foundations, hospitals and health research institutes.
About Virtual Training and Courses
EC3metrics offers a specialized service for higher education institutions, such as universities and R&D&I organizations, focused on training in Scientific Communication and Science Evaluation. These courses are designed for researchers, academics, librarians and knowledge managers. In addition, EC3metrics provides an outsourcing service, allowing institutions to delegate their training activities in science evaluation.
The EC3metrics team uses Adobe Connect to deliver videoconferences, webinars, and virtual meetings with its students. Courses can be requested individually or for groups, in both in-person and online formats, and custom content can be arranged as long as it is delivered by their team. To request a course or further information, interested parties may contact EC3metrics via email or through the contact form on their website.
They also offer customized on-demand courses on topics such as science evaluation, bibliometric reporting, scientific information systems, and research funding, all tailored to the specific needs of universities, research centers, research groups or departments.
In-person Courses
- EC3metrics' in-person courses are delivered in an intensive format in classrooms equipped with internet access and computers, either personal devices or those provided by the host institution.
- Courses can be customized and taught by one or more instructors.
- If practical sessions are included, a virtual platform (Moodle) is used to access activities and submit assignments.
- These practical components may take place after the course, using Moodle as a communication channel between participants and instructors.
Virtual Training
- It is a virtual or simulated environment in which the student and the instructor are located in different places, recreating a traditional classroom experience.
- Personalised training, coaching and mentoring is offered for Bibliometrics Units, researchers, teachers and professionals interested in applying their research.
- Training is delivered via the Adobe Connect Platform.
- The classes are recorded for deferred consultation.
- If the course includes practical work, Moodle is used to access activities and submit assignments.
- The main thematic areas include: promotion and management of research projects, communication and evaluation of scientific results, knowledge valorization and transfer, and enhancement of research performance.
